Behind every fillet and every delivery stand the people who make it happen.

Here you can meet some of the people who contribute every day to making it possible for Bremnes Seashore to deliver world‑class salmon.

Kjell Gunnar Mathisen

Age:41 years
Hometown:Bømlo
Education:Automation Technician
Position:COO Processing

He has been part of the company for nearly 20 years, holding roles as a skilled worker, foreman and later line manager. Today, he is in charge of the factory – always focused on collaboration and development.

Kjell Gunnar is driven by being part of an exciting workplace that is constantly evolving and enables each person to grow. He highlights the meaning in contributing to local jobs, community development and the production of high‑quality food from the sea.

The best thing about the job? The culture – we work as one team. He enjoys seeing how small improvements deliver big results, and that he can help develop both people and technology.

Charlotte Finstad Asserson

Age:36 years
Hometown:Stord
Education:Aqua Medicine Biology
Position:Aqua Medicine Biologist

Raised in Bergen, with half her family in Eastern Norway, Charlotte has always had a foot in both camps – and a dialect to prove it. With a lifelong fascination for biology, she soon discovered that salmon was the perfect blend of science and nerdy curiosity.

When she’s not looking after three children, she plays the cello or piano – and in winter you’ll often find her on telemark skis.

At Bremnes Seashore, Charlotte is passionate about technical challenges and pioneering work that has helped make the company a pioneer in the sector. The R&D projects have brought their fair share of head‑scratching as well as a great deal of learning – and as she says herself: “Learning is nourishment – especially for a nerd!”

Anders Sunde

Age:42 years
Hometown:Bergen
Education:Business Economy
Position:Senior Sales Manager

Anders originally planned to become an engineer, but discovered he preferred numbers and a bit of financial number‑crunching. So he studied business and economics. After his studies, he took a trainee position in the seafood sector, starting in market logistics before finding his calling in sales.

After a few years in seafood, he was invited to join the adventure called Ocean Quality – which today is known as Sjór.

He now works with sales to the European market. What drives him is a genuine interest in people, understanding their needs and building relationships. And yes – delivering commercial results for the company is also a strong motivator.

Jenny Helen Stokknes

Age:27 years
Hometown:Bømlo
Education:Skilled Aquaculture Worker
Position:Aquaculture Technician at sea sites

Jenny grew up locally on Bømlo. Her interest in aquaculture began with a summer job at Bremnes Seashore. She originally planned to become a teacher, but that first look into the industry sparked a fascination that led her to salmon farming. Today, she has what she calls her dream job. Her working day is all about following up the salmon at sea: feeding, checking the cages and monitoring fish welfare.

She says that some of the best things about the job are great colleagues and working outdoors – especially when the weather is good. It makes every day both varied and motivating.
